Troy Swope is the Co-Founder and CEO of Footprint, a company dedicated to developing sustainable alternatives to plastics in packaging.

With over 20 years of experience in the packaging industry, Troy started his career as an engineer at Intel, where he implemented innovative methodologies leading to substantial cost savings.

Together with his friend and Footprint co-founder, Yoke Chung, Troy established Unisource Global Solutions (UGS) where they pioneered the use of bamboo fibers for Dell Computers, disrupting traditional foam packaging industries with sustainable molded pulp alternatives.

At Footprint, Troy leads a diverse team of engineers, scientists, environmentalists, and designers, resulting in numerous patents focused on reducing single-use plastics and encouraging major brands to rethink their packaging strategies.

Passionate about environmental conservation, Troy aims to combat the plastic industry's impact on oceans and human health by offering eco-friendly packaging solutions.

Troy pursued Business Administration and Management studies at Yale School of Management, complementing his engineering background.

His previous roles include Sustainability Director at Sprig Technologies, Sr. Vice President at Unisource Worldwide, Inc., and Engineering Manager at Intel Corporation.
