Turi McKinley

Turi McKinley is a seasoned design professional with over 20 years of experience in organizational design, service and experience design, and design research.

She currently serves as the Global Practice Lead and Executive Director of Org Activation at frog design, Inc., where she specializes in enhancing companies' design and innovation capabilities through organizational design.

With a strong focus on user-centered design and innovation, Turi has collaborated with a diverse range of clients including GE, Honeywell, ETS, Humana, Qualcomm, Mars, MTV, Telstra, Colgate, and UNICEF.

Turi's educational background includes an MFA in Design and Technology from Parsons School of Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with Creative Writing and Studio Art from Macalester College.

Additionally, she has pursued studies in Tibetan Studies at the School for International Training and has teaching experience in design and innovation at Columbia University.

Throughout her career, Turi has held various roles at frog design, Inc., including Executive Director, frogCamp, Principal Director of Participatory Design, Principal of Design Research, and Senior Design Analyst.

Prior to her time at frog design, Turi's professional journey involved roles such as a Teacher at Columbia Engineering, Author at Lynda.com, and Guest Critic at NYU Interactive Telecommunications Program.

Her expertise also extends to roles in interactive design, research, and consultancy at institutions like Parsons School of Design, MIT, and ELS Language Centers in Pusan, S. Korea.

With a background rooted in anthropology, interaction design, and experience strategy, Turi McKinley continues to lead and shape the world of organizational design and innovation.
