Highlights
After many months, I’m delighted to share that I’m starting a new position as Director of Business Development at a Stealth AI Startup!
After admiring early-stage startups for years, I knew I wanted that to be my next move. The team is incredibly talented and at the forefront of innovation within AI. I couldn't be more stoked to be in the trenches for this next chapter. I'm excited to share more in a few months.
Now it's time to build 🚀
Friday was my last day at Brex.
It's hard to put into words what the last 4+ years have meant to me. I remember getting my offer letter from Sam Blond and flying out to SF in July 2019 thinking I had made it because I was working at THE cool fintech startup in Silicon Valley. Little did I know, just how much that "startup" would change my life.
From in-office SDR days to going fully remote and traveling the country meeting with partners (Jeff Becker, Max Harrison, Brandon Hoffman, Mikey Kailis, Katheryn Thayer, Andrea Torres, Olivia O'Sullivan, Alex Janeck, Milan K., Kyle Croyle, etc.) — I have always been so proud to say that I work at Brex. It gave me a sense of belonging to something bigger than myself and a safe haven to bring out my best work. Not because of what I was doing or where I was but because of who I was doing it with and most importantly for. Brex has always been a magnet for great people (employees & customers) and that is what I will miss the most.
Brex gave me everything I could have asked for in a first company. They gave a fresh college grad from Utah the opportunity to compete and for that, I am forever grateful. I consider it the greatest privilege to have started my career here.
While there are too many people who made Brex what it was for me, I do want to thank a few publicly -- Jimmy S., Ashley Kelly, Pedro Franceschi, Michael B. Tannenbaum, Sam Blond, Arthur L., Marco Ronning, Brandon Boyle, Richie Wu, Paige Evanich, Joon Stephen Lee, Conor Bradshaw, Shai Goldman, Michael Morgenstern, Jeanine Suah, Andrew Kenney, Thomas Dale & so many more. You left a lasting impact on me professionally but also took an interest in me personally and that means the world. Thank you!
This is bittersweet to write but I am excited for the next chapter and will always be cheering Brex on from afar!
