Valerie Guerrero is an accomplished professional with a diverse educational background. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Utah, a Master of Education (MEd) in Student Affairs from Iowa State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Valerie has a wealth of experience in various educational and student support roles. She has served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Utah Education Policy Center and held positions such as ASUU Senator for the College of Education at the University of Utah. Additionally, she has worked as a Program Coordinator for the Diversity Scholars' Summer Bridge program and as a Graduate Research Assistant to Dr. Maria Ledesma in Educational Leadership & Policy at the University of Utah.

Valerie has also held significant roles at Allegheny College, where she served as the Associate Director and Assistant Director of the Center for Intercultural Advancement and Student Success. Her experience extends to Iowa State University, where she worked as a Graduate Assistant Recruiter for the Educational Outreach Program/College Bound within the Office of Admissions. She also served as a Social Justice and Equity Educator at LGBT Student Services. Furthermore, Valerie's background includes positions at the College of Engineering and Oakes College at Iowa State University, as well as roles at UC Santa Cruz, such as College Programs Coordinator and Oakes College Student Life and Housing Assistant.
