Highlights
Work-life harmony is much easier when you are meeting and reconnecting with people you enjoy. I have often wondered, "Was that a personal connection, a business one, or some combination?" Such was my experience on the west coast this week.
The trip got off to a super friendly start seeing Robert L. Pineres on the SLC-SFO flight! Thanks Delta Air Lines! The rest of the Bay Area portion was the same. Calling people "old" friends feels accurate, especially when they show you their scars from multiple skin cancer surgeries, introduce you to adult kids or grandkids or their multi-generational family of fur babies.
I visited several notable Silicon Valley HQ offices and even saw lots of people inside them! San Francisco is notably different since my last stay which was pre-Covid, but I enjoyed staying downtown. Thanks Marriott Hotels!
The last couple of days have been in Los Angeles, mostly with our own auticon US team. It was a late celebration of #AutismAcceptanceMonth, and just a general get-together. We made art based on the theme "What auticon means to me." My painting is of a spiky profile going up and to the right. See if you can find it in the pic below. It has multiple meanings 😁
I am honored to be part of the auticon group in the US, not to mention globally. I am particularly impressed & grateful for an amazing leadership team. See the picture of us in the conference room together. We're missing a few, but that's a big majority.
