Highlights
The final and important part of the professional training and studies I undertook in the past year was to obtain this Specialist Diploma in Sustainability Communications from Cambridge Marketing College and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. This course was designed to look at sustainability and ESG through the angle of corporate and internal communications, including criticisms of sustainability and its limitations such as greenwashing. I’ll be carrying these learnings and this well-rounded view into my consulting practice going forward. Plus, it was fun to go back to long-form paper/essay writing… for a little while ;)
I wrote an article last week exploring the interaction between marketing and sustainability.
The relationship between both can be controversial topic depending on your view of what marketing and business is or should be about. Regardless it's something everyone will soon have to form a view on.
Let me know what you think if you've got a view on the debate whether you sit in one side of the fence or the other!
