Clean transition challenges the current operations of …. , and you can fill the dots basically with more or less anything. This week there was important event in Finland Suomi Areena https://lnkd.in/dB6cK652 to foster shared vision and roadmap for clean transition. At the same time I was participating Energy conference in Berlin and exchanging experiences and future development ideas with many experts from around the world on how to accelerate the transition.

Happy to notice the messages in both, Suomi Areena and Berlin, were aligned. With digitalization and AI we can transform our operations within Energy and Industry to meet the net zero targets. Europe shows the way and East and West will follow. Furthermore conditions in Finland are very favorable to focus investments in Finland to support the transition for the whole Europe. For example we have strong grid, potential to increase our new renewable production, water, CO2-bio, district heating networks, highly educated workforce, open and stable society with growth mindset to name a few strong conditions in place.

Thank you Rauf Fattakh for organizing and inviting to share our learnings and future focus areas.

It is always a pleasure to work with IEEE. Knowledge sharing and dialogue with colleagues is needed to accelerate digitalization and electrification of industries and infrastructures across the board. I was invited to open our experiences at the Industry Forum at ISIE and also wrote few chapters on connectivity, control and usage of network protocols such as IEC-104, BACnet, OPC, Modbus, Profinet and Profibus related to Energy Flexibility Management. There was an article at IEEE Industrial Electronics Magazine published for members below.   To speed up the adoption of new technologies it is essential to develop widely accepted protocols to ease the work of integrations. Efficiency and synergies of systems and sector coupling requires fluent access and transfer of data. Systemic sociotechnical change needs a lot of efforts holistically and sometimes it feels the technology development is taken for granted. Innovations and R&D in technology should not be overlooked. IEA analyses that all technologies which are needed to reach 2050 targets are not yet in use. Thus honest engineering efforts are the foundation for green transition.   https://lnkd.in/dbe5puQc
