A Friday evening well spent at the ISB Tech Conclave '24 in Bangalore. On 2nd feb, I had the opportunity to speak to amazing alumni of ISB along with Prof Madhu Viswanathan, on topics around the present and future of retail, data science and AI.
It was great to have focused conversations with some brilliant minds who are leaders in their respective organizations. Impressed to see how ISB is building a community of future leaders through their 'Lifelong Learning' initiative.

Is Linkedin the new fb? the last few weeks have been different here.. On a few occasions, i almost convinced myself that i was on fb or insta given a flurry of
- "hollow posts" with dazzling glam pics and generic content (likely GenAI created) - getting thousands of likes and therefore higher impressions
- Emotional posts about personal life
- Condolence messages
- Political narratives focused on war stricken areas
- Posts about blockbuster movies - and inferences
Nothing wrong with the types of content, but makes me rethink LinkedIn as "business and employment-focused social media platform". I reckon the reason is either "Convergence of social media" that's making people put the same content everywhere without appreciating platform differences, or social media platforms becoming content hungry in the GenAI world where any and all content is guzzled for growth, and therefore are willingly promoting such behaviors - or maybe it's both? Hey 2024, could you please unravel this one too!!!
