Vera Ivanova is a highly accomplished composer specializing in contemporary concert music. Alongside composing, Vera is involved in teaching a variety of music subjects including Music Theory, Orchestration, Form and Analysis, Composition seminar, and private music lessons in composition, theory, and piano. Vera's expertise lies in composing for solo instruments, chamber ensembles, large ensembles, and orchestras, as well as arranging for different musical groups and collaborating with performers including dancers. Vera's educational background includes Ph.D. studies in Music Composition from the Eastman School of Music and the University of Rochester, a MM in Music Composition from Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and a BM in Music Composition from Moscow State Conservatory named after P. I. Tchaikovsky. Vera has held various positions in prestigious organizations such as being an Associate Professor at Chapman University, an instructor at CMOC Pre-College Division, a Music Theory Instructor at The Colburn Academy, and a composer at ASCAP, among others.
