Dr. Vicente Alarcon-Aquino is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse background in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He obtained his PhD and D.I.C. degrees from Imperial College London in 2003 and has since excelled in both academia and research.

Currently serving as a full Professor and former department head at the Universidad de las Americas Puebla (UDLAP), Dr. Alarcon-Aquino boasts an impressive resume. In addition, he has also held various editorial roles in esteemed journals and has contributed significantly to the field through over 170 research articles, a book publication, and numerous citations to his work.

During his career, Dr. Alarcon-Aquino has demonstrated expertise in areas such as network monitoring, cybersecurity, anomaly detection, wavelet analysis, and machine learning. His involvement in professional organizations like IEEE, the Mexican National System of Researchers, and the Mexican Academy of Sciences underscores his commitment to advancing the field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
