As most of you who follow me know I founded Egghead Discount Software. Paul shopped the store, wrote me a letter on his personal stationary asking if he could invest. I said yes, if he would also serve on the Board.
I had the pleasure of working alongside Paul during the explosive growth of the PC industry in the 1980's. He was a great guy, and a great Director. He was also fun. One day he came to a board meeting in a new crazy expensive Ferrari he had shipped in from Europe. He casually mentioned he also bought one for Bill (Gates). Our all male board was like a bunch of teenagers in the parking lot looking as Paul showed off his latest toy.
Paul had just won his first cancer battle when I got to know him. He was a fabulous man. We can all learn from Paul the importance of meeting and exceeding his civic and philanthropic obligations. My latest venture Alhadeff Brands is donating 5% of sales to the Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center. We need to find a cure for this f@#&ing disease. As they say at the Hutch lets Cure Cancer Faster.
Alhadeff Brands is an Amazon merchant with two brands. Jogzz and Healthyezz. For all of our brands we donate 5% of sales to the Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center to Cure Cancer Faster. This years Obliteride Bike Event raised over $2.5 million for pure research. I am proud to have participated.
