Victoria Cox

John Monash Scholar and Medical Doctor I MBBS BMedSci

Victoria Cox is a medical doctor with a diverse academic background. She graduated with First Class Honours in Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Adelaide in 2014. Victoria is currently pursuing an MPhil in Evidence Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation at the University of Oxford as a General Sir John Monash Scholar, with future plans to complete a DPhil in Primary Health Care to research digital healthcare interventions in low socioeconomic settings.

In addition to her medical expertise, Victoria is an accomplished swimmer and holds the distinction of being the 7th person to complete the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming in one season. She swam the English Channel in a remarkable 12 hours in August 2017. Her athletic achievements include earning a Full Blue in Swimming at Oxford and serving as the 2018 Open Water Swimming Captain for the Biennial Cross Channel Varsity Swim.

Victoria's educational journey also includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Smartly Institute, a Bachelor of Medical Science (Honours) from the University of Adelaide, and a Diploma in Instrumental Music with a focus on the violin from the Elder Conservatorium of Music at the University of Adelaide.

Professionally, Victoria has been involved in various roles, such as a Graduate Research Student at the University of Oxford, a Teaching Associate at Green Templeton College, Oxford, a Junior Dean at Jesus College Oxford, and a Medical Doctor (Intern and Resident Medical Officer) at SA Health.
