Is it worth it for you to produce smaller bottles? The economics are less attractive for brands, but non-alc consumers are interested in them. Last week, we surveyed our Dry Atlas newsletter subscribers about this. A whopping 71% of them said “yes,” they are interested, either because that’s how they prefer to try new non-alc brands (57%), or because they like to travel with them (14%).

"Wading into a new brand is much easier than diving in with your wallet in tow,” said one respondent. Even for brands consumers already like, small sizes still hold appeal: “Some non-alc beverages and spirits contain juices and other ingredients that have an expiration date. I just can’t get through a large bottle before it loses freshness or goes bad."

In the “no” camp, the majority of them find small bottles to be too costly per ounce.

Have you explored this for your brand? What did you decide?
