Last month I was invited to the Coaches and Mentors Congress, organized by SLOVENSKO COACHING ZDRUŽENJE. First, I want to express my gratitude for recognizing my chapter on Intervision (first published in the book called Kako spodbujati zaposlene, edited by Eva Boštjančič and Andreja Petrovčič) for the best professional work in the field of coaching, mentoring and supervision and therefore awarding me with the Lumina award. What I gathered from the congress and amazing speakers is that there are two main ideas you need to follow for achieving maximum success in this field. 1️⃣ Creating connections and building a community. 2️⃣ Thinking from different perspectives. As Tihana Dragicevic said: “When we reach a blind spot, we need another (super/inter) vision to gain another perspective and try to see things from another planet...« These two main ideas clarified to me why exactly my work was chosen by jury as the most relevant, unique, and applicable in practice. Intervision is a peer-led group method that satisfies these two conditions: it forms a professional and goal-oriented community with colleagues that widen each other’s perspectives under a formed structure of different methods. I am sincerely proud to announce that this piece of theoretical work has already seen the light of practical use. I want to thank Jan Kovacic, Matic Kadliček, Alenka Murgelj, Tadeja Trojar Jan, Tanja Sakelsek, Marjeta Trstenjak, and Katarina Veselko for recognizing my work first and including me in the first intervision group held by psychologists coming from different organizations. Besides that, intervision turned out to be the perfect method for the Quantifly Me product, that we offer at quantifly. I realized this method can be really useful to address blind spots that I and my coworkers bump into while working with clients and support them in the process of setting their action plans. So thank you quantifly team for support and collaboration! Last but not least – thanks to Marko Delbello Ocepek for the nice photo and of course, the biggest thank you goes to Eva Boštjančič for the mentorship and initial support!
