#AI is currently the most talked-about subject in the banking industry and beyond. The potential of #LLMs and other advanced tools appears boundless, leading to both excitement and anxiety. Consequently, numerous potential regulators have taken notice of this trend. In this Harvard Business Review article, the author encapsulates noteworthy initiatives in the United States. However, the real value lies in its insights. The article emphasizes that "governmental ability to regulate LLMs will likely be insufficient. This observation is not a criticism of lawmakers and regulators but rather a consequence of the fact that legal advancements occur gradually, while technology evolves rapidly." Therefore, any business leader with an interest in AI, and I assume this includes every #bank executive, should actively contribute to the development of non-governmental processes and incentives. These efforts will contribute to establishing trusted and #ethicalAI as the standard.
