Highlights
This is how 1 year of hard work looks like. Hope, this will make your day!
GiftdMinds
If some people don't want to work 10-12-14 hours a day to pursue their passion, to make a difference, to matter, to make this world a better place, that is absolutely fine. Their choice.
If some "Gen-whatever" want to party every night, eat crap, get drunk every weekend, hardly ever wake up before 8am, spends 4-5 hours everyday on social media trolling others and demanding "work-life" balance but yet to find a general sense of direction in Life - well then, good for them.
For the rest of us - we'd like to work a little harder if we could; push a little more if we can; make it a bit better, if it's possible.
For the rest of us, 100 gms is just a number. Vinesh Phogat is still Gold for us. 92.7 m is a number. Neeraj Chopra is still Gold for us. 3-2 is still a number. Our entire hockey team is nothing less than Gold for us.
Numbers don't show the true character, the struggles, the sacrifices. It just helps us understand that more can be done, that may be, next time, I can do better. Work-Life balance? It's definitely in our wishlist but just not up there, not yet.
Hopefully one day, we as a country, will endorse, support and celebrate our Indian athletes for their hard work and sacrifices more than movie actors for their fan following and the so called social media influencers for their followers count. But to reach there, a lot of youngsters out there wanting quick money and an easy life, have to understand what it takes.
We are proud of our entire Indian Olympics Team. We look up to you. You inspire (the rest of) us.
