On my recent trip to Tonga for The Ocean Story, I had the extraordinary privilege of encountering multiple mother and calf humpback whales, as captured in this behind-the-scenes video 🐋

These majestic giants were once teetering on the edge of extinction, with their population in Tonga plummeting to just 200 due to relentless hunting. But today, thanks to decades of dedicated conservation efforts, their numbers have rebounded into the thousands, and they continue to thrive.

This remarkable comeback is a powerful testament to the resilience of our oceans and underscores the critical importance of our ongoing efforts to protect them.

Through this black and white collection, I invite you to reflect on the ocean's mesmerizing beauty and the pressing need for its preservation.
