Vinu Kamalasanan is a dedicated researcher with a master's degree in Engineering and 5 years of experience in engineering, specializing in the design and development of components for sensor-based applications. His research focuses on controlling pedestrian behavior in shared spaces and he has a keen interest in point cloud visualization, ego pedestrian trajectory estimation, and augmented interfaces. Vinu is passionate about leveraging AR visualization to influence decision-making processes. With a background in building safety-critical rule-based android applications for health monitoring, he has expertise in utilizing OpenCV for object detection, machine learning for accuracy improvement, and developing POCs with deep learning models using TensorFlow and PaperSpace GPU. He is also skilled in building custom object detectors through image annotations and model retraining. Additionally, he has hands-on experience in developing android modules for IoT applications integrating sensors like Accelerometer, magnetometer, WiFi, and Bluetooth.
