Viraj Mehta is a Ph.D. graduate from the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on reinforcement learning, generative models, and dynamical systems. His research aims to address control problems using machine learning in scenarios with costly data processes, with a specific interest in plasma control for nuclear fusion.
Before his time at CMU, Viraj was engaged in kickstarting alternative data and analytics initiatives at KKR and working on automating capital allocation in private finance at Hum Capital (formerly Capital Technologies). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University, where he conducted research on 3D vision and robot learning.
Viraj Mehta is the former Co-Founder & CTO at TensorZero, and has been associated with various organizations such as Capital, KKR & Co. Inc., Stanford University Vision and Learning Lab, Google, Visa, and Cisco.
