Virginia holds a degree in History, French, and Latin American & Latino Studies from Amherst College, and has furthered her education in Radio Production and Narrative Storytelling at Transom Story Workshop.

Throughout her career, Virginia has been involved with various prestigious organizations, including producer roles at Lantigua Williams & Co., CityLab's Technopolis, NPR's Latino USA, and The Moth. She has also worked with Americans for Immigrant Justice, LOTUS HOUSE WOMEN'S SHELTER, and StoryCorps in different capacities.
