Zero.

The percent of prospects who can provide an accurate estimate of the size of their Installed Base (machine count, or unique customer locations consuming service and parts).

This is not because they are uninterested in knowing this information, or that they are comfortable being ignorant about such an important foundational fact about their business.

Far from it. Most of them try, struggle with disparate data sources, and abandon their effort after living in "spreadsheet hell" for a while.

The issue is without this data, it is hard to make a case to the C-level about building a business case to focus on the Installed base for revenue and profit growth. It is hard to assess where you are in your Aftermarket Maturity Journey, and worse, it is hard to build a credible plan to win.

It doesn't have to be this way. There is a better way, but one that requires commitment to see it through.
