Wael Ghonim is an accomplished computer engineer, Internet activist, and social entrepreneur known for his role in promoting social justice, democracy, and human rights in Egypt through the power of the internet and social media.

He co-founded a startup that was later acquired by Quora and has worked with tech giants like Google as their regional Marketing and Product manager in the MENA region.

Ghonim's impactful work led to him being nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, recognized as one of the Time 100's most influential people, and receiving the JFK Profile in Courage Award.

As the founder of the NGO "Tahrir Academy," Ghonim focuses on providing an online knowledge-sharing platform for Arabic-speaking youth to empower and educate them.

He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Cairo University and an MBA specializing in Marketing from The American University in Cairo.
