Wah Chiu is a renowned biophysicist and pioneer in the field of cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM).14 Born in Hong Kong, he moved to the United States to pursue his education, earning both his B.S. (1969) and Ph.D. (1975) from the University of California, Berkeley.13
