Before embarking on his journey with Ripples Impact, Walid was the Managing Director at the Abraaj Group, an investment management firm with approximately $14 billion in assets under management. During his tenure, he held leadership roles in Abraaj’s Egyptian operations and was a vital member of the MENA investment team. Under his guidance, the firm managed an impressive investment portfolio in Egypt, combining over USD 600 million in assets. One of his most noteworthy achievements was his pivotal role in the investment and structuring of Cleopatra Hospital Co., Egypt’s largest hospital group, where he led the successful listing on the Egyptian Stock Exchange in 2016.
