Today, the team will be announcing the title sponsor for ProveIt! Conference 2025.

The Vendor Sponsors are critical to our success -- they are financially supporting the show and they are putting in the time and effort, over 16 weeks, to build an actual functional solution they will present at the show. This conference isn't for the meek -- the vendors who volunteer to come here while financially supporting the community are examples of how to do it right. Function over marketing... application over theory... meat and potatoes over soy.

All of the vendor sponsors deserve your support and interest because they have set themselves apart from those who just talk... so with that being said...

...I am honored and excited to announce that Dell Technologies Smart Manufacturing is our title sponsor. And here is how it came to be...

I had an opportunity to meet with their executive leadership at HANNOVER MESSE this past April. That entire conversation was centered around values, mission and strategy. During that meeting, when we realized that Dell is a major player who is focused on major impact around a common set of values, the topic of working together on a conference organically came up.

We walked their booth and got to sit through one of the most impressive demonstrations I've ever seen -- of their Dell Native Edge platform (I'll talk about this later this week in detail). So impressive, in fact, I jokingly offered the engineer who presented a job with our firm.

A follow up meeting happened after we got back to the states and when we announced that we would be putting on ProveIt!, Dell was the first to reach out about being the title sponsor.

So... what will Dell be showcasing at ProveIt! ???

The answer is, hardware infrastructure and their Dell Native Edge OS and Platform. The best way for me to describe Dell Native Edge is an OS that runs on hardware (starting with theirs but extending to non-Dell hardware), connects to an Orchestrator and manages node ops (the hardware device itself) device ops (peripherals of the hardware device) , application ops (software and applications running on the hardware device). My first impression when I had a chance to see a blueprint file that makes all of this happen was, 'this looks like a docker compose file on steroids'.

Needless to say, we are absolutely stoked that Dell has made the commitment to support this conference while introducing Dell Native Edge and their Smart Manufacturing infrastructure to the attendees and the audience. I can't wait for y'all to get to see them deploy into production what I got to see them deploy as a demo.

All week, we will be posting info on Dell Smart Manufacturing and Dell Native Edge -- do your homework and get fluent in their offerings so you come to ProveIt with an understanding of what they do and how they do it before they ProveIt!

Thank you so much to Sam Thiara Ryan Fournier Pierluca Chiodelli and Todd Edmunds and their team for making this happen!

Today, 11am CDT, I’ll be doing a complete analysis of Gartner IIoT Platform Magic Quadrant, we will do it as a podcast and will simulcast to the 4.0 Solutions Youtube and Linkedin.

I will give my analysis and make suggestions to the end users who get fooled by these reports, as well as suggestions for Gartner on how they could actually make this valuable.

At an absolute minimum, this should be entertaining.
