Distributed AI and Data Governance Architect, Founder and CEO at Sightline Innovation, CIGI Senior Fellow

Wallace Trenholm, commonly known as Wally, is the CEO of Sightline Innovation, a pioneer in cloud-native distributed AI and data governance technologies.

With more than 25 years of professional experience in software architecture and over 35 years of programming expertise, Wally specializes in AI, data governance, distributed computing systems, and sensing technologies for applications in various sectors.

During his second year of university, Wally established Epoch Integration Inc., which notably executed the initial open-source installations for the Canadian Government, was among the early mobile developer firms globally, and engineered the first commercial product for enterprise computing using the Python programming language. Later, Epoch Integration was acquired by Research In Motion (BlackBerry) in 2006.

Beyond his professional commitments, Wally actively engages with global geopolitical and economic policies while delving into the creation of automated trading systems focusing on global macroeconomic factors.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario.

Wally has also pursued studies in Project Management Professional and has obtained Commercial Pilot License for Aeroplane, FAA Student Pilot for Helicopter, among others.

Currently, he holds the position of CEO at Sightline Innovation Inc and has previously served as a Senior Fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI).
