The recent advances of scientific and technological tools provide an unprecedented opportunity to accelerate development of vaccines for prevention and control of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). These advances include breakthroughs in understanding the pathogenesis and identification of biomarkers for AD; a renaissance in vaccine technologies emerging from the COVID pandemic; and feasibility from first-generation monoclonal antibodies demonstrating clinical benefits in subsets of AD patients.

An “Alzheimer’s Vaccine Initiative “ , linking the best and brightest from neuroscience, human immunology, vaccine development, AI and deep learning, could potentially transform the pace and probability of success for AD vaccine development.

At Next Frontier Advisors, we are taking the first steps towards an Alzheimer’s Vaccine Initiative, by launching a comprehensive landscape analysis of the field; then holding a global summit to review and refine the analysis, and finally developing a Strategic Roadmap for AD vaccine development, to address key gaps on the path towards a safe and effective AD vaccine.
