So this was posted from Business Insider on the LEGO Group just a few hours ago.
The punchline is correct. LEGO sets are more expensive, but they are much bigger than when I was I kid.
I sadly have some of the #brown pieces. 😓
I remember going to the virtual tour of the #LEGOHOUSE during the pandemic, and it was very clear on the ups & downs. I the tour which passes thru the LEGO history per decade does a better join explaining why there were certain up & downs over the years.
If you know me, you know that I have my own sizable collection. 😁 You can guess how much compares to the Dave's (and he made it #LEGO Masters show!). I haven't done an true audit in years... but I do have a count from #Brickset website which I used to track my collection.

So I posted on #hikikomori earlier. A lot interesting thoughts.
However turns out almost HALF of #hikikomori are women. This a whole different problem, with some women never working and family's view of children who are hikikomori.

It isn't just the person's own problems. It is society's view do them as well. Sometimes these reclusive individuals are looked as criminals. Or possible future criminals. Once a father (76) killed his own son (44).
A former top Japanese government official has been arrested in his son’s killing, police said on Monday, though they declined to comment on local media reports saying the retiree told investigators he had feared his reclusive son might harm others.
Tokyo police said Hideaki Kumazawa, 76, was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of stabbing to death his 44-year-old son Eiichiro.
