Let’s say that for you, networking during a job search isn't exactly like a root canal, but it's not your favorite thing to do. Too much "I barely know you" socializing. You’d prefer hanging out with the kids, playing with your dog, binge watching tv, soaking in the last weeks of summer, staring out into space, Marie Kondo-ing your closet, or taking a nap.

A job search is NOT a full-time job and neither is networking. You stay resilient through the challenges of job hunting by building activities into your day that bring you joy, whether it’s riding your bike as the sun sets, training for a marathon, or retiling that funky guest bathroom.
Set reasonable, measurable networking goals by choosing a specific number of people you can reach out to in a week and stick to it. Be consistent. Then, head to the movies.
