Over 150,000 businesses use #Glovo as a digital sales channel. Over 80% are SMEs. All operate within the local economy. I joined the Reshaping Work Regional event in Belgrade to listen to what others have to say, and to discuss how to protect workers while also nurturing this economic transformation. Views on this topic have become polarised but I saw a shared vision and passion.  I'm optimistic that balanced outcomes will prevail, through pioneer programmes like Glovo's PLEDGE, smart regulation, and dynamic engagement by trade unions.

Thank you to fellow speakers/panelists from World Bank, European Commission, ETUI, UNDP, Reshaping Work, ILO, University of Essex, Ministry ICT (Serbia). Also Reshaping Work and PPRC.

It's not every day that you sit down to meet a Minister who shares an ambitious and progressive plan for a country of >200million people, all while placing a Glovo order to see how the service is working in Nigeria. No pressure :-)

Big thanks to His Excellency the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani. It's clear the Nigerian digital economy is in great hands and we look forward to moving forward the collaborations we discussed.
