Highlights
How our Tech United team navigates towards success - reflections from a recent team meeting and learning session Last week, our Henkel Consumer Brands’ Technical #leadership teams “Tech United” Engineering and 4IR had a productive and engaging meeting to align on our goals, priorities, and learning needs. Here are some of the highlights:
- focus on #TeamHealth: building trust, collaboration, and feedback culture, and learning together as ONE strong team.
- clarify our #Goals and #Priorities: how we can deliver the best results and support our organization’s targets.
- re-visit past and present projects, to project the learnings from strengths and opportunities upon upcoming tasks It was great to get together as a team, exchange, challenge, and learn from each other. I am grateful that our #HenkelConsumerBrands (HCB) organization encourages, supports, and expects us – as HCB leaders – to put a very high focus on “team development and health”. We fine-tuned our agendas in Engineering and 4IR/ Digital Transformation, and we aligned the way forward on Core Technologies, Manufacturing Platforms, CAPEX management, and Asset Light approaches. Many thanks to our #HighPerformingTeams #HPT facilitator Dorothee N 👍🙏❤️.! To test our technical skills, as a #teamactivity we built a raft and successfully crossed a lake nearby: having #fun together trains all the muscles necessary to live the behavioral mind shifts we agreed upon: #eaghertolearn and #hungrytowin. Thanks to our guest speakers for providing valuable insights to our business from their perspectives: Olfa Aouida and Michael Kreis sharing their views on "how to collaborate best as ONE Technical Team #HCB", and Dr. Fatih Koyuncu complementing with the needs, expectations and recommendations of a Regional Supply Chain. Special thanks to Tim Kerl for moderating our Team Act Moment, sharpening our senses on providing #feedback 🙏. Thanks to my entire Leadership Team for the spirit, good mood, active contribution, and our common commitment to #beingbold and creating value for our Supply Chain teams across the globe 🎩🎩: Isabelle Haenen Özlem Soydaş Susanne Soraruf Luca Bellomi Claus-Peter Thiessies Samuel Gelzer Simon Xie Magued Afifi Vitomir Todorovic Inanc Soylu Proud of my team! Learning and Sharing on the Fourth Industrial Revolution - Henkel Consumer Brands Supply Chain discusses with business partners, consultancy, selected suppliers and academia about #4IR. Yesterday, we had a full day of #learning and #sharing on the Fourth Industrial Revolution, joined by 80 representatives of our ecosystem in #digitaltransformation. Thanks to Dr. Dirk Holbach and Achim Kempf for opening up with me! We invited to exchange know-how and perspectives on "what matters today" and "big bets in digital innovation to come" on our journey to transform the #supplychain into a business that creates value through data-driven decision making. Great having had Federico Torti from the World Economic Forum (WEF)'s Advanced Manufacturing Network, sharing their insights on the key success factors for purpose-driven digitalization, building on enablers and openness for collaboration and cooperation across industries and sectors. Sven Houthuys from McKinsey & Company explained how to get from #digitization to #digitalperformance. He zoomed into how building strategic roadmaps, focusing on #value, and how to have the right architecture in place to get value out of data and democratize it across the organization. Rob Saker from Databricks showed how to leverage the potential of #genAI in the CPG industry. He demonstrated how data intelligence engines can benefit both data insights and streamlined IT operations through augmenting code generation. Finally, Clemens Schönlein from AVEVA showcased the capabilities of next-gen #MES systems, not limited to AVEVA, but illustrated on their platforms. He explained how to create digital twins of our processes, assets, and operations, and how to use them for simulation, optimization, and prediction. Christian Titze from Gartner conveyed their clear-cut definition and perspective on #digitaltwins, demystifying the terminology and showcasing successful examples of realization: no matter the current maturity degree, facilitating autonomous decision making remains the ultimate objective to be achieved, based on data. Thanks to Professor Desirée Van Dun for sharing her researcher's perspective on the necessity to address the #humanfactors around digitalization: re-skilling, giving up upon long-term learned behavioral patterns requires cultural change, learning processes, and leaders adapting transformational and instrumental leadership behaviors.
We learned a lot from each other and identified the key pillars of our roadmap that will help us create impact, drive value, and adapt at scale. We are proud to be part of this ONE community that is not afraid to Connect-Collaborate-Create, defines trustful rooms for that, and overcomes the "Pilot Purgatory". Thank you to all who joined us and let's keep the dialogue going. #4IR #ConnectCollaborateCreate #PilotPurgatory #Collaborate #Connect #Create
