Highlights
Since October 7th, Jewish Philanthropy has raised over $1.4 Billion aimed at emergency and rebuilding needs in Israel. That is amazing support that potentially can make a big difference. If invested smartly, not only it will impact the pressing needs, but it will also leave significant infrastructure that will cultivate resilience in Israel in the future.
Before October 7th, few investors and donors were focused on Trauma, Resilience and PTSD. But since that horrible Shabbat, all the ecosytem reorganized itself around those existing organizations who are leading the work boots on the ground. The needs are quickly changing, as is the perspective on the work itself. We're managing a lot of friction and are quickly evolving amid this chaotic situation.
Join our host Manny Waks on September 10, as he'll lead a conversation with me about our work in Helem (Trauma) Club, and Yael Sherer, CEO of Survivors of Sexual Violence Advocacy Group, who since October 7th has worked tirelessly to give a voice to the victims of sexual terror.
