Yassamin Ansari holds the distinction of being the youngest woman elected to the Phoenix City Council and the first Iranian-American elected to public office in Arizona.

Her impressive background includes roles as a former climate advisor at the United Nations, Deputy Director of Policy for the Global Climate Action Summit, and recognition as a Forbes 30 Under 30 recipient in Law & Policy.

She pursued her education with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Stanford University and a Master of Philosophy in International Relations and Politics from the University of Cambridge.

Throughout her career, Ansari has been associated with various organizations such as the Phoenix City Council, the United Nations, PAAIA, Mission 2020, and Stanford University, where she held positions ranging from Campaign Co-Chair to Director to Senior Programme Management Officer.

Her diverse experiences include strategic coordination, climate advisory, civic engagement, policy development, and project management across different sectors including government, academia, and non-profit organizations.
