In the past few days, we have seen that founders and companies have been worried about data governance practices within the equity software space — and rightly so! I want to emphasise that at Ledgy, data privacy has been a top priority and a non-negotiable from the very start of the company — all our customer data is stored in Europe (thank you GDPR! 🙃) with the highest security standards. Our doors are wide open to any company who cares about this topic 👋

More details about how we treat data 👇

  • Ledgy employees cannot see customers’ equity and cap table data without express consent, except very rare instances where troubleshooting engineering support is required. We do not use customer data to cross-sell, or for any third-party promotions whatsoever. Private data is, and will always be, private. 🤝

  • Our website has further information on Ledgy’s privacy and data security policies. You can also read my co-founder Ben’s round-up of the major security launches we shipped in the last 12 months, and I am sharing our full privacy policy below. Link to these resources in the comments🔓

I am proud that Ledgy is trusted by thousands of companies, including large enterprises with high standards and expectations on security and privacy. Please message me ([email protected]) or the team ([email protected]) if you want to learn more 🙌

So happy to see Ledgy's 2023 State of Equity and Ownership report go live! With data from 1,200 companies in the US, UK, France and Germany, this is our biggest report yet.

Reading through our findings, I was happy to see that 64% of companies are planning to make their equity plans more generous in the next year – this shows that leaders are thinking strategically about equity even in tough market conditions 🙌

At the same time, though, it was interesting to see that just 36% of companies have set up tax-optimised share schemes for their employees. Are we giving companies all the tools they need to create great outcomes for all their stakeholders?

Much more data in the full report: link in the comments!
