Highlights
The Metro line with only 2 stations, how data can tell you any story you want it to tell - the outcome. HELP.
Some of you would've seen the post last week about my kid loving London's Waterloo & City line. Despite the obvious absurdity of its existence (opinion mine).
You'd remember I challenged him to prove its ROI.
Well. I had to push a bit...and I am sure that me discrediting the first screenshots I was sent with "ok, the jury's still out" irritated the kiddo... See green highlighter utilisation in the screenshot below 🤣
So this is what I got.
To the financial people in my network, and even the marketing people! This is what I got. HOW DO I COME BACK FROM THIS??
Yours truly,
(Once again) Defeated mum.

Are there any companies that in this day and time don’t consider the need for digital comms?
I found myself enunciating that sentence in a conversation with another digital pro…and unable to stop just after “are there…”, the second I realised how silly the question was.
I’ve seen it myself. Too many businesses, including those who trade in cultural currency, think they don’t need it.
You’ve seen it too: everything from “the product is so good that it sells itself” (typical B2C) to “our product is such that we are not going to close a sale on Facebook” (typical B2B). Even “the least people that know about me, the better” (CEOs, anyone?).
Sometimes, they only feel the pain when something goes wrong - and their reputation or bottom line -often both- are at stake.
Granted, every case requires an individualised approach. There is no blanket formula. But a proactive strategy on digital is no longer a nice-to-have.
