Yulia Khalikova

Yulia Khalikova is a dedicated PhD student at the Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences (BIGSSS) with a focus on judicial politics, international courts, socio-legal studies, and post-Soviet states.

Yulia holds a graduate degree from the Higher School of Economics in Moscow, where she studied law and sociology. Her professional background includes experience in dispute resolution and corporate law before pursuing her PhD.

With a keen interest in the post-Soviet space, Yulia has been involved in various research projects on policy analysis, criminology, empirical legal studies, and political economy in leading research centers in Russia and Europe.

In 2017, Yulia represented Russia as a delegate at the Girls20 summit. She has extensive experience in youth policy, fundraising, and project management, notably serving as a co-chairwoman of DRJUG e.V., a German-Russian youth NGO organizing international youth projects from 2016 to 2018.
