Highlights
Last month, Boston University National Society of Black Engineers hosted the NSBE New England Fall Zone Conference. I served as the Zone Conference Co-Planning Chair alongside Ethan Strauther. Over 100 NSBE members, partook in a day of workshops focused on professional development, company interactions, and personal growth.
The event was a true success! After the hard work of constructing workshops, obtaining company sponsorships, and ironing out logistics, it was a rewarding experience to personally connect with members from different chapters in the region! I've learned so much from planning the conference, but even more through my conversations with other NSBE members and professionals.
Special thank you to our keynote speaker, Angela Pitter, for her presentation on "Cultivating Your Own Tomorrow", and to NSBE Boston Professionals - National Society of Black Engineers for their attendance and continuous support.
NSBE has given me a platform to build my leadership skills, connect with motivated individuals and give back to my community. I’m excited to continue this year on the executive board as Programs and PCI Chair to further grow our chapter through our mission by promoting STEM in black communities.

This past Thursday and Friday, I had the honor to attend the Posse Plus Summit at Deloitte as a delegate for Boston University. Throughout the summit, I had the opportunity to have thought-provoking conversations about the State of the Union with 150 other delegates that represented over 50 colleges/universities.
It was truly a phenomenal experience to have the opportunity to connect with Arne Duncan via Skype, members of The Aspen Institute and Posse alumni working at Deloitte.
I believe as young individuals, we have the influence to start conversations that evokes change in society, whether it is in the classroom or on the quad of our campus. Listening to the stories and having discussions with the delegates, that represented countries around the world, has inspired me to share my perspectives and knowledge, as well as listen to others.
Thank you to The Posse Foundation for inviting me, Telemundo for broadcasting our Town Hall, Deloitte University - The Leadership Center for hosting us, and a special thanks to all the delegates at this incredible summit. #posseplussummit #Posselove
