Zigfried Hampel-Arias is a scientist with a strong background in astrophysics and extensive experience in machine learning research and applications. He has a track record of participating in large international projects and excels in data modeling, analysis, and statistics, particularly with large datasets. In addition to his technical skills, Zigfried is known for his expertise in public speaking, mentoring, and leadership roles.

Zigfried's specialties include data analysis, high-performance computing, machine learning, research and development, high-energy astrophysics, teaching, efficiency analysis, international operations, interdisciplinary leadership, and IT support.

His educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemical Physics from Rice University.

Zigfried has been associated with several prestigious organizations throughout his career, such as the U.S. Department of State as an Embassy Science Fellow, Texas A&M University as Adjunct Faculty & Joint Appointee, Los Alamos National Laboratory as a Scientist, NM LEEP as a Strategic Advisor, RSFR LLC as a Small Business Owner, Journal of Open Source Software as a Technical Reviewer, and Insight Data Science as a Technical Advisor, among others.

He has also held positions including Senior Data Scientist at In-Q-Tel, H4D Ambassador at NSIN - National Security Innovation Network, Insight Artificial Intelligence Fellow at Insight Data Science, BAEF Postdoctoral Fellow at IIHE at Université libre de Bruxelles, Visiting Research Fellow at Wallonie Bruxelles International, Guest Lecturer at UW Madison, Postle Lab IT Administrator at UW Madison, Physics Graduate Research Associate at UW Madison, US Fulbright Scholar at The Fulbright Program, and Teaching Assistant at Rice University.

Furthermore, Zigfried gained valuable experience as a Student Research Assistant at Los Alamos National Laboratory and as an Undergraduate Student Research Assistant at CERN.
