Highlights
Nice to learn / refresh various aspects of Cybersecurity...I have completed the certification recently as well :-)
Over the past two weeks, I've had the pleasure of participating in some incredible events that have only reinforced my belief in the value proposition of Experience Design, Cloud DevOps and Native Software Engineering. First, I had the opportunity to collaborate with my peers with Shell Software Engineering leadership team, including my line manager Michiel Steltenpool. It is always inspiring to work with my peer group (Kannan R , Stuart Blyde , Dipti Porwal , Mo Afshari , Marcel van Maasdam , Jonathan Cullender , Adam Jordan , Rik Essenius, Edwin Van Steenis) who value true collaboration over any competition. We are very well supported by other colleagues inc. Venkat Kulamarva. We also had a very fruitful discussion with extended leadership team of Software Engineering.
Next, I was honored to be part of the organizing and presenter team for the Shell Software Engineering Community Day. The day was all about driving better performance, productivity improvement, efficiency, knowledge, and building a strong community of practice. We were joined by some of our partners and Shell staff members - it was a great success and truly motivational.
This week, we've been focusing on multiple topics relevant to the Shell Native Software Engineering team and how we can move forward together. We've also initiated dialogue with some of the biggest names in the tech industry to help us improve productivity, cross learn and collaborate. There's more to come, so stay tuned! We are totally blessed with leadership team in Native Software Engineering Capability centres who are moving forward on the maturity path, performance and productivity improvement journey and supporting / enabling our amazing practitioners across tech and design functions to deliver high quality software products for our customers 🙂
Last but not the least, we had the pleasure of meeting our latest members of the Native Software Engineering family. These 45+ freshers are about to complete their training and get involved in creating beautiful pieces of software to drive the Powering Progress agenda of Shell, with net-zero goals at the core. It was amazing to see the talent, passion, and drive of our freshers, and I can't wait to see what they accomplish in the future.
