Thrilled to start the next phase in my professional career - back to school ! Will be at Indian School of Business, Hyderabad for the next one year, pursuing the flagship PGP course.

As my 4 year journey with Freshworks ends, I reflect on how my time at the company was. Two predominant thoughts - People and Growth. I want to thank all my colleagues, managers and partners for giving me a tremendous learning experience in the past few years!

Highlights - Making some amazing friends, learning some crazy stuff, closing 2 key deals on the final day and wrapping up the tenure with the President's Club Award 🏆

Excited to take another step in the right direction, this coming year.

Had the pleasure of interacting with Manish M. , Founder - Invact Metaversity and one of the pioneers of Metaverse education in India.

Got a chance to ask him a question, I've pondered upon since a long time -

Given there are so many social situations and environments where metaverse comes in, wouldn't it be too operationally, financially and developmentally heavy to bring to market?

His Response - Drawing parallels to the internet, Manish spoke about how all the building blocks are already available, and it's mostly about how imagination can bring those together to make a viable product viz experience. Additionally, building a Metaverse is easier than rendering a video, which is a game changer for the Internet.

With different metaverses coming from differently specificalized companies (eg retail, education, banking etc), each experience would be owned and developed by individual companies. And then there would be indexing to link metaverses and provide a realistic immersive experience to users (again drawing parallel to Google search engine bringing Netflix, Hotstar, Prime together). You also use APIs of one Metaverse to link the environment to another one, creating cross linked experiences (like making a payment through a bank, at a retail store).

Truly thought provoking!

I look forward to exploring this ever changing space more and more in the future!
