My various lives (music and climate) came together through Planet Reimagined's Amplify research and advocacy project. Over 250M people attend concerts in the US each year. Imagine if we could use that energy and convening to mobilize people for climate action. For the first time, this idea was studied in depth by our fellows Caleb Johnson and Li-Ya Mar, Ph.D.. The results are not only surprising, but highly useful for artists, venues, promoters, and fans. The era of "shut up and sing" is over.
