Highlights
This weekend marks a huge milestone in my life.
I wrapped up my first-ever coaching-trip at Nationals!
As a wrestler, representing my home state was always a huge dream of mine. Ten years later I’m helping other wrestlers bring their dreams to reality at #Fargo.
This was also the first time in Harvard-Westlake School history to have a wrestler qualify for the California national team, and I believe it marks a new era of excellence for us.
This trip gives me, the school, and most importantly the wrestlers a reason to believe and hope. With that hope, all of us will be fired up to work all that much harder, strive further, and unlock new levels that we have never seen before.
This upcoming season is going to be incredible. Buckle up! #coaching #wrestling #nationals
✅ Full Ironman Complete!
My first (and hopefully last 🤞🏽) full ironman was such an incredible challenge. Halfway through I questioned if I could complete it. Everything told me to just quit. Would all my months of prep and training be wasted?
Thankfully my friends and my support system pulled me through.
💪🏽Shout out to Ian So for pushing me and being my training partner for the better part of the last year.
🥰 Shout out to my wife and biggest fan Safa Iqbal for being the best support I could ask for, from complimenting my every workout in prep to wrapping my legs after the race.
I started at 7 AM and finished right before midnight. As the darkness was creeping in, it was always the thought of my friends and family that kept me going.
My biggest lesson? “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
