Highlights
FLOW-3D CAST v5.1 is RELEASED!!!
With streamlined Workspaces for the following metal casting processes:
1- High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) 2- Low Pressure Die Casting (LPDC) 3- Gravity Die Casting (GDC) 4- Gravity Sand Casting (GSC) 5- Low Pressure Sand Casting (LPSC) 6- Lost Foam Casting 7- Investment Casting 8- Centrifugal Casting 9- Tilt Pour Casting 10- Continuous Casting 11- Sand Core Making
Under each process, you can simulate different stages of the casting process such as filling, solidification, thermal die cycling and more.
The accuracy of FLOW-3D CAST's filling simulations has been state-of-the-art and best-in-class for decades, and with this release we are introducing a brand new and sophisticated solidification model for Aluminum (non-ferrous) alloys that predicts the microstructure and the strength of the part as a result of the filling and solidification paths! The ferrous (irons and steels) version is coming out with version 6.0, hopefully sometime in 2021.
