It’s official, y'all! The FCC has voted to restore #NetNeutrality protections under Title II. This is a huge win for all of us: Without the FCC’s regulatory oversight, corporate internet giants have been able to maintain their power and control over internet cost, quality, and access. Restoring net neutrality protections will give the federal agency the authority and tools it needs to ensure the free and open internet is available to everyone – no matter their zip code or demographics. Ev 👏🏻 ry 👏🏻 one! 👏🏻
All of us at NTEN are grateful to see this swift action from the FCC to use its oversight and urge the agency to reinstate all critical protections from the 2015 Open Internet Order, as well as adopt protections that take into account new technology and what we’ve learned since 2015.
