It was a pleasure to participate in the inauguration of the newly renovated Tanoto Research and Learning Hub at the INSEAD Asia campus in Singapore, along with newly appointed INSEAD Dean Francisco Veloso. The Tanoto family has a long-standing relationship with INSEAD, dating back to the 1970s when my father, Sukanto Tanoto, began studies with the distinguished Prof. Henri-Claude de Bettiginies. Over nearly 50 years, we have returned many times, whether as a student, lecturer, donor or strategic partner. This year, the Tanoto Foundation donated to INSEAD for two key initiatives: the renovation of the ‘Tanoto Research and Learning Hub’ in Singapore and the renovation of the ‘Euro-Asia Centre’ at the Europe campus in Fontainebleau, France. These donations aim to provide students with state-of-the-art resources to stimulate innovation and research to develop the next generation of leaders working across East and West. We have chosen to support these initiatives because of our confidence in INSEAD and its leadership, and our shared belief in the importance of lifelong learning. No matter your stage in life or career, learning should never stop. Tanoto Foundation was founded on the belief that quality education accelerates equal opportunity. We have taken another important step in that journey.
