Should your business prioritize core transformation, launching an adjacent business, or both? 🤷‍♂️

This thought piece from McKinsey does a nice job laying out the conditions for each, but I would add to their logic: 👉 If doing both, make sure the interdependencies are designed in. 👉 If market formation for the adjacency is nascent and the recipe for winning is still unclear (and capital requirements are high) buy some time and start with the core. 👉 If starting with the adjacency, and its longer-term success depends on core capabilities, build agility into the early stage design.

Late last week and over the weekend, Leadership Atlanta alumni volunteered to host the Opening Retreat for the incoming Class of 2025. It was wonderful to experience the event from the "other side of the table", and even better to see a bunch of old friends and to make many new ones. The greatest thing about it, though, is that graduation is only the beginning ...

Thank you Monique Harrison, Tiffany Callaway Ferrell, and Latonda Henderson for taking these priceless photos!
