As a New Yorker born and raised in Rockaway Beach, every year on September 11th carries deep meaning for me. Our little peninsula lost more lives per capita than any other neighborhood on that dark day 23 years ago. It’s hard to believe it’s been so long.

This is why I strongly believe that September 11th should be a national holiday—a day for all of us to pause, reflect, and pay our respects. Too often, the weight of this day feels muted because it falls during the workweek. But for so many, including the families who lost loved ones, the pain never fades.

We must never forget. Let's ensure we honor those who were lost, and the incredible bravery and unity that followed.

People don’t hate working in the office.

They hate…

  • Sitting in traffic for 10-20 hours a week.

  • Paying for and packing lunch every day.

  • Being stuck in a cubicle, staring at a wall.

  • Shelling out for the daily commute.

  • Attending virtual meetings…from the office.

  • Spending money on work clothes.

  • Having to iron said work clothes (seriously, who enjoys ironing?).

  • Losing the ability to multitask during the day. I love doing laundry or prepping dinner between calls and projects.

That’s just off the top of my head. Any other reasons to add?

I’ve been working from home for 4,819 days (but who’s counting?) and I’m never going back.

Make work work for you. ✌️
