Angela Zhang

Medical Student at UT Southwestern Medical Center

Angela Zhang is a second-year medical student with a focus on orthopedics, quality improvement, patient-centered care, and medical device design. She is actively engaged in peer mentorship, community engagement, and biomedical research.

Angela pursued her Doctor of Medicine (MD) at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas after completing her Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Rice University. She also attended Plano Senior High School.

Currently a medical student at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Angela has held various roles including Senior Admissions Interviewer at Rice University, Vice President at Will Rice College, Head Peer Academic Advisor at Will Rice College, Summer Intern at Rebion, and Bioengineering Fundamentals Teaching Assistant at Rice University Bioengineering Department. She also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Rice University's Nucleic Acid Bioengineering Lab and as a Fondren Library Access Services Assistant.
