Highlights
I preface this by saying, I am not, and have never professed to be, a marketing or advertising expert but I have seen this ad for many years now strapped to the back of buses. I have never understood the ad. I don't know who the person in the picture is, why her facial expression suggests she just found a marmalade sandwich in her blazer, whether she is the lawyer or client - but I remember this ad. It is imprinted in my head as is the name of the firm and its slogan so this has clearly worked.
Lawyers are really outdated in their marketing approaches generally, they tend to rely on "person to person" or "professional to professional" referral work. The idea of business management and marketing was not part of my law degree, it probably should have been as it is really one of the important factors in successfully running a firm and growing a business.
I wonder if any of you could help tell the rest of us how you get your work in your world? what works for you? what are some of the most exciting ideas you have seen implemented to advertise and grow a small business...
looks like a good day to mediate ☀️ 🏖
