It’s truly hard to believe that my time at Alexion is ending. What an amazing adventure it has been!

In my nearly 7 years here, I’ve… … had 6 amazing managers under whom I’ve grown and developed in unimaginable ways and who supported and encouraged my “crazy” ideas …directly worked on 5+ different medicines and been humbled by the stories of patients, caregivers, HCPs, and scientists working diligently for their causes …held 4 dramatically different roles where I’ve had the privilege of working cross-functionally, -geographically, and -organizationally, building bridges and breaking down silos …worked in 3 very different functions, learning how critical each and everyone one of us and our roles are to bringing new medicines to the rare disease community …built 2 new innovative organizations – thank you to everyone who believed in us and supported us along the way (VISion will always exist in my soul) (So excited for the future of DHEI!) …experienced 1 pandemic and 1 major acquisition!

And…most importantly, worked with the most talented, authentic, brilliant, and FUN individuals who I am so honored to call friends.

I'd like to give special thanks to Brian Goff for inviting me into Alexion and Tsveta Milanova for inviting me into the world of Market Access. To Becky Lillie and Doug Stover - you changed my life by creating the Innovation Capability and bringing me in to the team...you'll be SO PROUD and amazed at what we've been able to accomplish! Wendy Erler, Tamar Thompson, and Simu Thomas PhD - your sponsorship and mentorship over the last three years has meant the world to me, to the Accelerator, and to the DHEI team. Erica Deacon and Juan Sambade - thank you believing in the DHEI mission and championing the team - you enabled our success. Megan (McAuliffe) Teynor and Derek Dunn - you were there for me when I needed it most.

Finally, to the DHEI team past and present - Taiba Quraishi, Mirkka Schaller, PhD, Pramod Rao, EMBA Guilherme Meneses, Henrique A., Anabel León, Robert Albert, Supriya Bakshi, Andrés González, Hannah Bennett- your energy, enthusiasm, brilliance, and talent inspire me everyday. I am so excited to see what the future of DHEI and Alexion bring to rare disease patients!
